The workshop will be held in Orsay (University of Paris XI, building 425).
The program includes 5 mini-courses:

Uri Bader (Technion) "The Poisson boundary, its ergodic properties and applications to rigidity". [ Lecture notes ]

Philippe Biane (Univ. Marne-la-Vallee) "Marches aléatoires quantiques et mouvements Browniens dans des espaces de matrices". [ Lecture notes ]

Philippe Bougerol (Univ. Paris 6) "Boucles browniennes".[ Lecture notes ]

Martin R. Bridson (Oxford) "Subdirect products of surface and limit groups".

Laurent Saloff-Coste (Cornell) "Some geometric aspects of random walks". [ Lecture notes ]

Some financial support is available for Ph.D. students and young researchers. Their participation is strongly encouraged.

The workshop is sponsored by ANR funds and is a part of the ANR project "Géométrie et Probabilités dans les groupes".

It will be of a similar format as our previous ANR workshop held in Toulouse in January 2008
