Optimal Hardy-type inequalities on manifolds and graphs

Résumé : The talk is devoted to the study of sharp Hardy-type inequalities with ’as large as possible’ weights for general subcritical Schrödinger-type operators defined either on noncompact manifolds or on weighted graphs. Our approach is based on the theory of positive solutions, and the constructed Hardy-weights are given by an explicit simple formula involving two positive solutions of the corresponding homogeneous equation.
