On compact sets generated by iterated function systems (IFS)

Résumé : Let $(X, d)$ be a compact metric space. We investigate compact subsets of $X$ which are attractors of iterated function systems on $X$.
We study the structure (geometry, Hausdorff dimension, etc.) of the attractors according to the properties of the functions in the generating systems.
We investigate, in particular, the case when $X$ is the unit cube of $\mathbbR^n$, with $n \geq 1$.
