Very basic information

In the Department of Mathematics of Orsay at the University Paris-Sud 11 , there are no specific courses for the Algant students.
Here the two years of the Master program are clearly separated and quite different in their organization and in their levels.
Students should be aware that presently all courses at the M1 level, and most of the M2 courses are given in French. Some French language courses are proposed to the students during the year, but some prior basic level of understanding of (at least) mathematical french is highly recommended
Students coming to Orsay for their first year of the program will be registered in the M1 Mathématiques Fondamentales et Appliquées (MFA) Program.
Those coming to Orsay for their second year will be registered in the M2 Analyse Arithmétique et Géométrie Program.
